M3FLR
Nielsen Engineering & Research 526 Clyde Avenue Mountain View, CA 94043-2212 Tel: (650) 968-9457 Fax: (650) 968-1410
The NEAR M3FLR program is a fast-running preliminary analysis and design tool that predicts the aerodynamic performance, including drag, of conventional missiles with up to three finned sections for a wide range of fin geometries and flow conditions. The method employs extensive systematic wing-alone and fin-on-body force and center-of-pressure databases. Vortical flow fields due to the missile fins and the body at high angles of attack are modeled to include their associated nonlinear effects. Flow nonlinearities are also included in the prediction method. The workstation system version of M3FLR includes methods for checking input geometries through interactive graphic representations and has a range of graphic outputs, including multiple windows, to aid in interpreting the results predicted by the program. This environment is very useful for preliminary design and analysis of new missile concepts. It is an environment where design engineers can rapidly interpret a large amount of aerodynamic performance data to determine a good design, or to discover where problems can occur with a proposed or existing missile.

Radar Environmental Simulator
Sensis Corporation 5793 Widewaters Parkway DeWitt, NY 13214 Tel: (315) 445-0550 Fax: (315) 445-9401
Radar Environmental Simulator (RES) delivers an effective, innovative approach to the difficult tasks of radar sub-system test, evaluation, and integration through a realtime, high fidelity simulation of the radar environment. RES can be used to create arbitrary radar environments in a laboratory, production, training, or field test facility. RES can produce up to 30 simultaneous target echo returns consistent with user-specifiable motion over a wide topocentric area. Individual targets can display any number of characteristics, including glint, fluctuation, and multipath. An active background is also modeled, giving clutter regions user-specifiable Doppler spectra, wind motion, amplitude scintillation, reflectivity, and global spatial distribution. Weather, chaff, ground, and sea clutter types are also handled.

Vision XXI
Tapestry Solutions 5675 Ruffin Road, Suite 305 San Diego, CA 92123 Tel: (858) 503-1990 Fax: (858) 503-1999
Tapestry has contracted with a government supplier and directly with the government to develop, enhance and maintain a software application used in military training exercises as an After Action Review (AAR) and exercise control tool called Vision XXI. This application was originally developed by Tapestry at the request of the US Army and is used to provide a graphical view and analysis of a Combat Battle Simulation training exercise. The application maintains and displays maps showing the location and current status of selected units, convoys, aircraft or other exercise participants. Vision XXI can be used while an exercise is running or later for post game analysis called After Action Review (AAR). Additionally, the application facilitates situational awareness and a relevant common picture which provides insight in Battle-Space Synchronization. The tool also assists decision makers with rapidly identifying, gathering, synthesizing and reacting to critical information requirements.
