ASC Airline Schedule Control
Scheduling Systems, Inc. Three University Office Park, Suite 100 Waltham, MA 02453 Tel: (781) 893-0390 Fax: (781) 893-0468
The ASC system is for airline flight operations. It is a command and control system for the real-time execution of the current schedule. The system includes aircraft routing displays that show both the flight schedule plan (called Operations Manager display) as well as the ground/maintenance plan (called the Router display). Both displays have impressive colors, fonts and graphics on the high-resolution workstation monitors; and both displays show real-time operational deviations. The system communicates with the airline's mainframe-based flight following system, with the crew management system, with the passenger reservation system, and with the aircraft maintenance system to send and retrieve live information about the status of the flights, aircraft, passengers, crews and airport operations. In addition, the system has been enhanced to make it optimal and effective, particularly with respect to the speed of the graphics displays, editing features, and database design.

Air Surveillance and Control
Digicomp Research Corporation 930 Danby Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 Tel: (607) 273-5900 Fax: (607) 273-8779
Our deployed systems are used in air defense, ground control intercept, and training installations. At each installation our system generates tracks from multiple surveillance and tracking radars into an integrated picture of the air/sea situation. The merged track positions can be combined with radar- and manually reported boat positions to generate a complete range picture. The system provides this picture to the operators in real-time on high performance, graphic workstations or network computers. The system architecture includes several dozen UNIX processes executing on a local area netowrk(LAN) of SPARCR multiprocessors under SolarisTM operating systems. All computing hardware and support software are widely used commercial products. The system uses the X window system for all display services, and Motif for the graphical look-and-feel. All developed software is written in Ada, with absolutely no use of vendor-dependent language extensions, programs, or run-time services.

TALLOC Traffic Allocation Simulator
Scheduling Systems, Inc. Three University Office Park, Suite 100 Waltham, MA 02453 Tel: (781) 893-0390 Fax: (781) 893-0468
TALLOC determines the allocation of Origin to Destination traffic to a Schedule of Services. It simulates the booking process in a "Real World" Environment and models the passenger itinerary choices based on demand elasticities with regard to fare, time of day, level of service (e.g. non-stop, direct or connecting flight) and other factors. TALLOC can accommodate multiple fare classes and accurately models spill, capture and interline connections.TALLOC has thru-flight optimization capabilities. The carrier's cost structure is used to generate profitability reports for the airline by market and the entire system. Numerous operating statistics and diagnostic reports are available. The model can be applied to an individual carrier's schedule to evaluate its profitability relative to alternative schedules. In addition, it can be applied to the entire industry schedule to predict market share, and serve as a link to a yield management system. TALLOC is offered as a standalone tool. An optional user interface package integrating TALLOC with FSD for editing and viewing the results is also available.
